Privacy Policy
How Dawn Index handles search analytics and site data.
Analytics data
Only after you allow analytics, we record search terms, result counts, selected search targets, and actions such as pins and result opens on our own server.
We do not collect or store IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, account IDs, or cross-site identifiers in this first-party analytics database. Do not enter personal information in a search term.
Purpose and retention
We use this data only to improve search quality, identify missing data, and understand which records are useful. First-party analytics events are deleted after 395 days at the latest.
Your choice
Analytics is optional. You can allow it, decline it, or change your choice at any time through Analytics settings in the footer. Your current choice is stored in an essential, signed cookie for up to 180 days so the site can enforce it.
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
After analytics consent, this site loads Google Tag Manager and sends analytics events to Google Analytics. The implementation grants only analytics storage; advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalization remain denied by this analytics setting. Google handles its own data under its privacy policy.
Google AdSense is enabled separately for advertising. Its data handling and consent requirements are separate from this optional analytics preference.
Issue reports
Issue reports are stored so we can investigate and manage their resolution. We do not collect IP addresses or browser identifiers. An email address is optional and is used only when a reply is needed.
